📝 Key Responsibilities
As a Temp General Worker, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Assisting in the accurate loading and off-loading of delivery vehicles (sprinters).

Ensuring goods are packed correctly and securely to minimize breakages and losses during transit. Join Heineken Beverages SA As General Worker 2

Reporting any defects, breakages, shortages, or irregularities directly to the Driver or Supervisor.

Following all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensuring loads are secure before vehicles depart.

Contributing to general duties on site, such as inserting jockeys, hooking and unhooking trailers, sealing trailers for dispatch, and maintaining cleanliness in and around the vehicles and yard.

Complying with quality assurance standards, including correct stacking, labelling, and packaging.

Supporting cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements by identifying areas where time or resources can be optimized.

Cooperating with Drivers, Logistics Controllers, and Supervisors by executing instructions promptly and professionally.

Carrying out any additional tasks as directed by management, including assisting with logistics operations, safety compliance, and documentation.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Education: Minimum of a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.

Experience: At least 6 months experience in a similar logistics or warehouse support role.

Industry Background: Prior experience within the alcoholic beverage industry is advantageous.

Skills:

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Strong teamwork and customer service skills
-
High level of responsibility, especially when handling goods
-
Ability to follow instructions and perform physical tasks efficiently

Driver’s License:

A valid delivery driver’s license (Code EC) and PDP are preferred

A commercial driver’s license will be a strong advantage
